Our whole region will continue to be a desirable place to live for lots of non-tech reasons. If we get rid of some of the negative tech bro influence it will make it even more desirable.

If you feel victimized by your neighbors choosing to increase your local tax rates you are in the wrong place and you really should leave. Go somewhere that aligns with your values. It’s relatively easy, especially if you’re a white male tech worker.
