I wasn’t just talking about the presidential. I’m talking about every election, from local to the midterms (hence why I said every two years). And “blue area” applies to districts in red or purple states too, not just blue states. So yeah, every vote matters in every election.

If your characters are compelling, the plot engaging, the pacing tight, the emotion authentic, and the story concept strong, none of the so-called rules matter. The only thing that does is how your story plays on the page. #screenwriting #scriptsky

So it’s a deliberate choice they are making to stay home and screw the rest of us over. Again, that’s the worst part.

I don’t get it. You don’t have to be a Dem Stan, but for fuck’s sake you gotta be real. You gotta take what you can get. It’s a multiple choice test & you gotta vote for the “best answer” presented to you i.e. the party who is CLOSEST to your views (& has achieved good things compared to the other).

It’s beyond frustrating that when Dems lose, it’s not cuz there are more GOP voters. They lose because their OWN voters can’t get over themselves & decide to just not show up depending on their mood that cycle.

It’s entirely preventable too, bc voting is typically pretty accessible in blue areas.

I mean, the message is simple. “Regardless of whether you vote or not, or throw away your vote, one of these two parties is gonna be governing our lives. So it’s your responsibility to vote for the better option for the sake of harm reduction.”

But they don’t care. It just doesn’t compute for them.

Given that this view comes from those who’ll be “ok” no matter who the president is bc they live in blue areas, I dunno why this is the prevalent attitude (yes I do)

All they gotta do is vote every 2 years so we can be protected, then go back to complaining all they want & they can’t even do that.
