What will become of international development after the end of the aid paradigm? Some thoughts in response to questions I get from students and young professionals

This www.africanistperspective.com/p/what-will-..., by @kopalo.bsky.social, was excellent, and touches on a lot that I have often struggled to articulate to colleagues and students.

Without disclosing the university, I know of one that is planning on removing 15% of all full time employees through letting adjuncts and visitings go and not hiring to replace people retiring.

Yo, JMCs

I have an idea for how to share new research while social media fragments..

In Nov/ Dec, I'll do weekly Substacks on new JMPs on gender.

If you'd like me to discuss your JMP, do share.

This would only be a nice, supportive discussion. 😊

Curious what the disincentives are. Is it the incentive to be "novel"? My narrow view of (my corner of) political science is that there are incentives to borrow from other disciplines and demonstrate theoretical breadth with new applications.
