While we can't use ranked ballots in Toronto's municipal elections right now, we want to make sure we have supporters on City Council who are ready to adopt them in the future.

Boston City Council Approves Ranked-Choice Voting To take effect, the city would need a green light from state lawmakers. A statewide RCV measure failed in Massachusetts in 2020.

We so admire everyone putting themselves forward to run, but wouldn’t it be great if they had a real mandate, not winning “by just a few votes”?

A ranked ballot could have given the next Don Valley West school trustee a true majority.

We deserve better elections.
