I wanted two black and white ones that I could put side by side, but then I saw the narwhal and thought I needed that, too. Hard to say no at these prices.

25.10.2025 12:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I just got the armadillo and little owl and narwhal for myself, and the kingfisher for my mom for Christmas. ๐
25.10.2025 04:50 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Well, my new apartment has more wall space in need of filling as compared to the last one, and I also need to do some Christmas shopping...
25.10.2025 03:22 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A photo of two golden retrievers lying down in front of a couch. One is young, head up, looking at the camera, with what looks like a giant, dopey grin on his face. The other is older, with his head down, eyes mostly closed, as though he looks totally done with all of this.
How my dog and my parentsโ dog feel when theyโre together.
22.10.2025 01:38 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's definitely not the middle, but here's from #HullWIP.
16.10.2025 00:03 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Anyway, I'm going to do a read of #HullWIP now for a palate cleanser, and then do another quick pass through #JustStabsWIP to make sure the edits make sense, and then it's finally off to the first readers. Yay, it's about damn time.
#amrevising
Bragging moment:
The original draft of #JustStabsWIP was 135,361 words. The latest draft is 115,740 words. That's nearly 20k, a full 14.5% shorter. Behold all those babies I killed. Especially when you consider there were a couple points needing expanding.
Did you know Sept 20 is International Red Panda Day?

Remember:
You cannot startle a sloth,
but a sloth can most definitely startle you.
For the record, I will never write this book. But if someone else is inspired, please take it.
10.09.2025 03:55 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0In hindsight, it should have been obvious, because the title was just the name of the food. Not "The Butterscotch Cookie Murders" or whatever, but literally "Delicious Butterscotch Cookies".
10.09.2025 00:03 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A book where there's a mention of some food right at the beginning, and then it goes off into this convoluted murder mystery, with the twist at the end being that it was all an absurdly long lead-up to the recipe for said food.

Itโs one of my favorite days! Itโs International Vulture Awareness Day! Vultures prevent the spread of disease by eating up dead things that would otherwise rot. Thank your local (and beautiful) vulture today! #IVAD
(Also, vulture stomach acids are so strong their poop can be used as disinfectant.)
A close up of a red panda on some branches, looking at the camera with the tip of his tongue sticking out.
Today at work a little boy asked me where the panda bear was (in reference to the red panda, we donโt have a giant panda), only his annunciation made it sound like โcandy bearโ, and I propose that this now be used as an alternative name.
05.09.2025 04:09 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0And I'd forgotten about to Heretothere, but that was a fun one! I definitely had the obligate joke of "Where are you from?" "Heretothere." "Could you be specific?"
03.09.2025 03:44 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The Disputed Zone is a constant war zone. Due to the influence of a magical Big Bad, Tempes Maris and Victoria have been at war for 100 years, but neither can win. It's a bit of a joke how often the one city (of an otherwise uninhabited area) changes hands.
03.09.2025 03:44 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0soldiers are sent to to be this beautiful but deadly paradise. So Cicandria has a post on it to keep out the monsters that wander down from Atiara. Soldiers very rarely survive their five-year deployments there. 2/2
03.09.2025 03:40 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The Handle, as it's called, is super thin, just a kilometer or so at one point. Atiara is super isolationist, so they don't fight over it, but that's not to say there isn't fighting. I was inspired by subverting the Reassigned to Antarctica trope, where I wanted the dangerous punishment 1/
03.09.2025 03:40 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I think it belongs to Sancia. The name is a bit of a joke, because this is my story featuring dragons, and my pet bearded dragon is named Audrey. A little shout out to her.
03.09.2025 03:37 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Those islands are just... there, so we'll talk about Havelle, because it's where the story starts. It's not terrible, but there's definitely clear socioeconomic stratification, with the peerage at the top and a lot of problems for those down below.
03.09.2025 03:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It also didn't make sense. When the creature blackmailed him into making a bride, he needed to consult some dude for help. And it wasn't to buy time, he literally needed this guy's help, when he made the original creature without help.
03.09.2025 01:57 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I hated it because it didn't know what was important. Three pages about visiting a historical battlefield that is irrelevant to the plot, and then one line about his wedding.
03.09.2025 01:57 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I love making maps! I made these all myself, so I'd want something a little artsier when I get published, but they still look pretty good. They are for #JustStabsWIP, #TheDragoneer, #ReyaWIP, and #BrokenHero (the latter two are shelved, but still nice maps).
03.09.2025 01:28 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 4 ๐ 1Doesn't he have a name? I thought it was Adam?
Anyway, I hated the book, and I'm still oddly glad that it's getting a more faithful adaptation.
Not to brag, but I ran the dishwasher and did laundry today, AND I emptied the dishwasher and folded and put away the laundry, because I am an adult who definitely does the corresponding tasks on the same day.
02.09.2025 04:56 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Traffic was really bad on my commute today, so I thought I should text my dog that I was going to be late. And then I remembered that he's a dog and therefore does not have a phone and cannot read.
