I just saw this album, which I adore, come up on YT Music, and thought "Jesus, 20th anniversary?"... then realised that next year is the THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY.👀

Saw them on this tour and could've sworn it was less than a decade ago. Incredible band.

Definitely worth a go! :-) Whenever I mention it to people, and see the inevitable looks of horror, I always say don't get discouraged if it doesn't work for you, bc we all work at our own pace... its a good tool for getting ideas down quick, but then takes much longer editing!🤣

I'm also a strong advocate of the idea (bc it works for me!) of 1k/30 - get an uninterrupted half hournto the second and try to write 1k words, no editing, no stopping. It's an interesting challenge for sure!

My approach definitely doesn't work for everyone - I like to kind of decide the general theme early, then let it background process in my head for about 2 weeks... then suddenly look at the the calendar, exclaim a hearty "oh bugger" in best Discworld style, and write it very quickly. 🤣🤣🤣

I agree, good to have some ideas churning away in the background. :-) I'll likely still write each month because I like the habit of doing it in the week before submission... but good to have up front for sure!
