We currently have two cats. Benny tried to steal J's car keys and, given time, may teach himself to drive. Piper got trapped behind the bedroom curtain. The duology of cat.

Just finished watching "Sinners" (2025), and damn, that was a fantastic movie with an excellent cast and amazing soundtrack โ€” and an incredible use of music in a way that almost feels spoiler-y to explain. It was so, so good.

I have found a comfy chair underneath an air conditioning vent, and I will be living here for the foreseeable future.

The image shows a text post from a tumble user with the handle "theconcealedweapon" making an argument about the importance of protecting the rights of criminals as a safeguard against government tyranny. The post presents the following key points:

If you want to prevent government tyranny, ensuring criminals have rights must be your top priority
This is not meant as a joke or exaggeration
Without rights for criminals, governments can simply label people as criminals to strip away their rights
The post claims this has been a common tactic of tyrannical governments throughout history
The post concludes that believing people who break laws should forfeit their rights is effectively supporting tyranny

The argument centers on the idea that due process and legal protections for accused/convicted persons are fundamental safeguards against authoritarian government overreach.

If protesting (I post this every time, so a lot of you have already seen this):

- Leave your phone at home
- Tell 3 people where you will be, if you can
- Wear nondescript clothing, cover tattoos, hair color, etc, distinguishable features
- Bring a backpack with - cont'd

- ... with snacks that travel well, source of protein
- Bring at least 4 bottles of water
- Bring batteries, if possible
- Bring first-aid
- Don't take photos where you are while you are there
- Do NOT take pictures of other protestors where their face is visible. Not a photo op

It appears to be that time again. *taps sign*

Donโ€™t post pictures of where you are, donโ€™t have pictures of strangers in your background fully revealed. You and those around youโ€™s safety is more important than your social media humble brag ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

This is the closest Piper (R) will let Benny (L) get. He so desperately wants her to cuddle with him. #Caturday

My brain is too full. I need something cozy: a cozy game, a cozy book, a cozy thought. Something that isn't racing around and winding me up.

Pipes froze in the building laundry room, which I discovered AFTER dousing my laundry in detergent. Now everything in our apartment smells like laundry detergent, and our allergies are NOT thrilled.

I dreamt I was in church when two human-sized T. rexes wearing Three Musketeers-style outfits came in, threw back their capes, and revealed machine guns.

That's it, that's the dream.

One of my neighbours is having a jam session with their band, and their improv music is soooo eclectic but soooo fun!
