A post by Zarah Sultana of 'Your Party', that uses a generated image with the words 'Your Party, County Durham Launch', surrounded by nine simple, flat images of images in silhouette with single colour backgrounds, presumably intended to represent Durham, four of which are a man with a weirdly long pick-axe, one is a building, two are gantries of some kind – for a coal mine? – and one is some kind of floating lamp. I will expand on this in the thread.

Okay, I can't let this one go. I live in Ireland, not the UK, but the use of this image by a supposedly socialist party is so stupid and offensive, I'm going to get stuck in.

Let me explain to you why any experienced illustrator/designer could have stopped you making so many miserable mistakes. 1/

Copenhagen places
Favourite restaurant is Krebsegaarden, though pretty expensive. Good, interesting food and wine, run by two slightly eccentric Norwegians who, given the chance will talk to you all evening about English football. Ask them about visitors from the US embassy for entertaining tales.
Damindra, excellent sushi with some S Asian twist, chef is originally Sri Lankan
Other moderately expensive (but good) places:
Den Lille Fede
Zeleste
HΓΈst
Meat Packing district is trendy and buzzy. Great pizza at MaMeMi and loud beers at WarPigs (don’t be put off by the name!)
Good pizza also at Da Aldo (take away only) and La Vecchia Signora (have to book – always busy)
Vietnamese at Sai Gon

V traditional old-fashioned (lunch only) Danish place by the parliament (and featured in Borgen) is Canal Kafeen (though I’ve heard service recently not so good)

Beer:
Hviids Vinstue (charming old wood-panelled bar)
Barkowski (more of a young people’s place)
Ørsted Ølbar (excellent range of beers)
Norrebro Bryghus (young and good beer)

Get the DOT tickets app to make it easy to get around.
National Art Gallery, Design Museum both worth the trip. And Louisiana, modern art in fantastic old house about 40 mins north of city.
Kongens Nytorv is lovely and should be seen. But most restaurants/bars there are v touristy.
And Tivoli is cliched and touristy but definitely worth going. Ideally around dusk.

I go to Copenhagen every 6 or 7 weeks and have a list of recommendations if you're interested.

So also Krebsegaarden. Fantastic food, wine and stories from the two Norwegian guys that run it. Don't miss the cheese board (if you like that kind of thing).

Oh, bugger. Squeeze at Manchester Apollo in 1981 was the first gig I went to. And saw them several times later. An almost life-long relationship.

A five story Copenhagen mansion block.

A five story Copenhagen mansion block.

Two minutes looking out of the hotel window and I’ve got half the plot of Rear Window.

No (obvious) murders though. Yet.

The guard said the ex-prince took it terribly hard.
Good,
