What is going on in the US doesn't stress me out as much as the lack of strong response from common folk does...I remember even in the 80s and 90s young people were more politically active and part of it was helped by MTV. Now they have enough dopamine to wash over daily I guess...

Flipside there was a cheesy sequence in Silo TV series that is worse than anything I have seen in Naughty Dog style AAA games recently too. (where the main character as a kid suddenly fades the adult version...felt like something the director shoved in forcefully)

I find it interesting that I am FAR more critical of movies and TV shows than I am of games, and if indie games do "movie like" intros (like those drawn out, hey we are going on a trip sequences) I start switching to that side of expectation.

I don't like stealthing around in games but Indiana Jones is pretty amazing from a level design standpoint and when push comes to shove you can punch a million fascists in a row, the exploration tightness and moments of surprise verticality reminds me of the Souls games

Have a hankering for some of that game and Inquisition too...especially after I went back to ME1 and proved to myself that I remembered almost nothing about it (which is scary in a different way)

Reddit is annoying me lately, I regularly see huge amounts of misinformation, toxicity and hate speech...I might have to try to cut it out of my habits in 2025 (along with Resetera, which I depend on too much for gaming news for how much some thread titles trigger me). Yeah I think it is pretty rare...I inherited a bunch of SFC games from an in-law...I found out later they threw out boxes and boxes of PC-88 or PC-98 games which I am now obsessed with, there is a lot of weird adult stuff to wade through but in between there are gems and music is usually amazing.

I have a project planning sheet with 7 wildly different projects, almost all of them are behind schedule heading into the end of the year. The thing is I am stubborn and some of these have been dragged along for more than 10 years now. One of them would be of course to release my first indie game.

I haven't played this one yet but their other obscure SFC game which has jigsaw puzzle and some weird depressing story was a bizarre game to try to play (I don't think I beat it but read about what happens or watched a nicovideo)

Having multiple Bluesky accounts is interesting because you can see the overlap/delta in the Discover feed. it seems like whatever algorithm they are using doesn't have the ability to hone in on recent interactions or user level personalization, which is where you can really get true relevancy...
