31.10.2025 10:59 โ ๐ 319 ๐ 100 ๐ฌ 140 ๐ 48This is what happens when you house children on their own in hotels, rather than providing them with proper care. That more children then went missing from reception centres after the High Court banned them being housed in hotels is appalling.

- There is no โยฃ900 deskโ
- my constituency office has Ikea desks/chairs
- we significantly underspent the new MPs allowance to set up an office

I also love that people argue about the layout of the White House with me even though I had a job that literally came with a business card that had a sketch of the White House embossed on it by the White House Communications Agency print shop

It seems to be serially incompetent at this sort of thing. Do they not have researchers?
To be clear: deportations to increase cultural homogeneity is the text book definition of ethnic cleansing. Demands that come even close to this are so far outside any democratic norm and the rule of law. What has happened to a country when this is not condemned in the strongest possible terms?

Boris Johnsonโs corruption and misconduct as PM should be exposed but canโt they be exposed in court during a trial leading to a prison sentence rather than in my timeline and on my go-to news app? I really donโt ever want to hear about that venal shit ever again, just lock him up in an oubliette

14:25 I 'completely get' concern over asylum hotels - Starmer Starmer is asked how he would feel if a hotel housing asylum seekers was at the end of his street. "I completely get it," Starmer says, adding: "Local people by and large do not want these hotels in their towns, in their place, and nor do I. I'm completely at one with them on that." Starmer says he understands why people want the hotels closed and he wants that too "as quickly as possible". Asked to put a date on it, Starmer reiterates his commitment to do so by the end of this Parliament. When it's put to him that is four years away, he says he would like to bring that date forward, but does not commit to another date.
I find Keir Starmer, profoundly depressing on this subject. He has been catastrophically weak.
