I am tired of the phrase “quiet part out loud” not least because the quiet part hasn’t been quiet since 2017.

And they both know it.

It will take at minimum 2 years, and still have to be voted on by citizens of NY state to change the state constitution. The earliest anything could possibly be on the ballot for a November general election is 2027.

Mamdani: 56.0%. 545,334 votes (+99069 over first-round).
Cuomo: 44.0%, 428,530 votes (+53493 over first-round).

Mamdani wins by 12 percentage points.

I've been saying for a year that if he wins, the DOJ will indict him. If he wins the primary, will they indict before the general election? Or will they wait to see if he wins in November before indicting him. Tick tock.

It is actually nuts that even when the NYC political establishment was presented with a broad field of talented candidates w/ many ideas, in a time of generational change & anti-corruption, they STILL chose to line up behind scandal-ridden Andrew Cuomo.

It’s cowardice.

Andrew Cuomo is a bully, a sexual abuser, & has a record of bad governance & repeatedly undermining the Democratic Party in ways that reverberated far beyond New York.

He’s a completely unacceptable choice to lead America’s largest city, especially when it already has a mayor who is a crook

It would be, but very unlikely. It's a very solidly red district. The swing to go blue is significant. Stefanik won 62%-38% in November. It will be interesting what the split ends up being.

Shouldn't the Clorox be injected?

Gov Hochul can fire the mayor. She should have done so when the scope and scale of his cascading congenital corruption career was laid out in federal indictments. She waited for him to go to trial. Now that injustice has taken its course she is the only reason he remains in office. Step up Hochul.

Biggest part of crooked Adams deal which is only barely being noted is that the charges aren't really dropped (not in the ordinary sense of the word). They're put on hold with the letter explicitly saying they'll be considered again after November. So Adams has ten months to perform for his freedom.
