Hey Tuesday. I've been going through my archive of story ideas to see what my next project might be. I've found several possibilities, but also things of the "what if a guy had a dog?" nature. So I wonder what I meant these ideas to be? Note to self: details, dammit.

Hey Wednesday. Successful shopping expedition yesterday. For the Christmas cookies, got the hazelnuts, the peanuts and the saffron (ok, not for cookies). Got the gift bags. Paul has made one batch of rumballs. Mince was made 6 weeks ago to allow for soaking up the rum. We're almost ready.

Morning Monday. I haven't been online much in the last week or so because I've been very busy doing absolutely nothing. Okay, that's not strictly true. We've been sorting out Christmas stuff, among other things. There's all that baking to be done. Today, we shop for gift bags.

I hadn't thought about it before, but I find I have no preference.

These are the same people who schedule the last subway to arrive at the terminus 20 minutes after the last bus leaves.

Hey Tuesday. Finally getting back into things after visitors and travelling around to see family. Good news: my ebook Road of Bones is out, SKULLXBONES with a new Dhulyn and Parno story is out December 15th, and Artefact has gone to my agent at JABberwocky. Hmmm. Seems a lot got done. Hey Thursday. My posts and observations are going to be even more sporadic than usual over the next few weeks as my brother and SIL arrived yesterday and the games have begun. In other news, draft 4 is finished, except for one scene I just realized I need to add. Sigh.

Morning Monday. Well I'm up to chapter 13, and considering that 14 is on the short side, I have serious hopes of finishing draft 4 before the visitors arrive. Yesterday was taken up mostly by the house not cleaning itself. Luna takes a dim view.

Hey Thursday. Still working on chapter 11, I'm afraid. Turns out I forgot to do a final read through of 9 and 10, so there was that. Good thing I did because I found a couple of rough spots that shouldn't have been there. Onward. Luna the Cat says "what?"

Good morning Monday. I've had a busy week working on Artefact (4th draft now up to chapter 11) and getting the house ready for the visit of my brother and sister-in-law next week. This week should be a little bit calmer, but we'll see. Luna the Cat says "that's mine."

What's up #FoodFriday? Just a couple of photos from the neighbourhood. The giant bottle of Coto Mayor is from La Mula Coja. They've switched to this rioja for the winter. The zamboriñas and mollejas are from Rincon de Lucas. The former are a variety of scallop, and I won't translate the latter.

Good morning Monday. Update on the 4th draft: I'm up to chapter 5. Today I'll do a polish before moving on to 6. Of course, while I was out walking this morning I thought of a scene I should maybe add earlier . . . so . . . maybe I should stop going out walking?

Hey #WordWednesday. Polished the first 3 chapters of draft 4, and naturally made a few tweaks and changes. I've also started switching out summer clothes with winter clothes, so that's taking up my afternoons. We'll see what happens today. Hello boots, long time no see.

Good morning Tuesday. Well, that's chapter 3 done. Chapter 4 was up for today, but I think I should read over the first three for a polish before I go on. Also, the new Thursday Murder Club book is out and that may put a dint into working time.

Good morning Monday. Work on Artefact went on during a rather busy weekend, but at least chapter 3 is on its way. On another note, this is what we saw parked in front of the paint and body shop place around the corner. This is no fender-bender, we figure suicidal tree.
