I was surprised to see that ‘Holy God, Holy and Mighty, Holy Immortal, Have Mercy upon us’ can be said instead of ‘Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy,’ when I was looking through the BCP at the Episcopal Church I was visiting this morning.

This video is from the Krome ICE detention center in Miami. He’s saying that they’re essentially kidnapped. You can see how overcrowded it is, and other reports have stated that the detainees are denied adequate water.

What a hateful person.

I live in an area of the state that is poor and underserved. There are places where hospitals have shuddered over recent years. There are places where the closest emergency room is 100 miles away. But they get glossed over so someone can say I told you so.

I live in North Carolina, in one of the poorest and underserved areas of the state. Who do you think will suffer under this administration? The white middle and upper classes? Or Black and Latino communities? Also, voter suppression is a thing here. Don’t be so gleeful in your righteousness.
