The owner of a hair and beauty salon says to Tony Stark, "Speaking of which, you have wonderful hair, Tony, but the cut is a bit, shall we say, yesterday? Want me to fix it?" Tony thinks to himself, "I didn't know it was broken!"

Tony exits the salon, where Rhodey is waiting for him. "All done?" "Yep, what do you think?"
Tony is rocking some kind of perm/wave on top, with a long, straight mullet, which presumably artist Mark D. Bright thought was a "chillin' doo, Chief!" as Rhodey puts it.

I just discovered the "Onlyposts" feed for when I don't want to see reposts from the people I follow, and now I don't have to constantly hear about the ongoing shitshow that is the US if I don't want to. It makes Bluesky blissful again! ๐Ÿ˜Š

The cover is by Gil Kane. That Daredevil pic is ingrained on my brain thanks to the Topps stickers from the 70's.

I love the shapes of the word balloons. Is there any logic to the way they're divided up, or is it just what feels/looks right?

Freya from the animated Predator movie, Killer of Killers.

Started watching Jurassic World Rebirth - was facepalming after 2 minutes, gave up on it after 20. So instead I watched Predator: Killer of Killers, which was awesome.

I agree some of the comedy undermines it, but it's still streets ahead of anything they've done recently. I think more stuff about Tony's PTSD would have slowed it down. Besides, he found a way through it... "build something!"

People are dummies, that's why. Particularly those who thought the Mandarin should have been the embarrassing racial trope from the comics. I thought having him be a focus-grouped stereotypical terrorist was brilliant.

I couldn't believe it was that long ago either! The last Marvel movie I really had fun with was Shang-Chi, and even that was 5 years ago! It's incredible the degree to which that momentum just stopped.

After Wonder Man, I thought I'd rewatch Iron Man 3 (key issue - 1st Trevor Slattery) and it made me realise it's been way too long since Marvel movies were this entertaining. ๐Ÿซค Also, best closing titles ever! youtu.be/OxL1p99EVCQ?...

I'm glad they released Wonder Man all at once. I think it would have been a bit slow to watch on a weekly basis, but as a binge-watch it worked really well. Apart from the "gaze into the fist of Wonder Man" moment, my favourite thing was Simon leaving the premiere and looking back to see...

Now thatโ€™s how you do a wraparound cover!

Artists Mike Zeck and Tom Palmer pulled out all the stops for this one, the first of three issues reprinting classic X-Men stories drawn by Neal Adams and (the aforementioned) Palmer.
