Like yeah, the creature is more robustly complex in the book, but what, am I supposed to be mad at GUILLERMO DEL TORO for loving his monster too much?

I love that even though large chunks of Del Toro’s Frankenstein are taken from the book, the first main section of the film is so wildly divergent that it frees you from thinking fidelity to the source is a score on which to grade it

But one of the fascinations of the Catholic Church is that it is the oldest continuously surviving organization in the world, and that’s why movies like “The Da Vinci Code” are more fascinating than thrillers about religions founded, for example, by a science-fiction author in the 1950s.

I know there are people who believe Brown’s fantasies about the Holy Grail, the descendants of Jesus, the Knights Templar, Opus Dei and the true story of Mary Magdalene. This has the advantage of distracting them from the theory that the Pentagon was not hit by an airplane.

Love how every Romero zombie movie is like “only an idiot would get killed by a zombie” but in the final third you realize that you only have to slip up once and it all falls apart
