Attacks on Medicaid are causing real harm to real people right here in New Hampshire. In Congress, I was a hard no on the biggest cuts to Medicaid in American history, and I am using every tool I have to protect the healthcare you and your family rely on.

A โ€˜tropicalโ€™ disease is spreading in American wildlife This neglected tropical disease is no longer confined to the tropics. Itโ€™s here, in the United States, spreading silently in wildlife.

โ€œIn the heart of Illinois, while researching wildlife disease, I made a discovery that stunned me: More than half of the raccoons I sampled were infected with Trypanosoma cruzi, the parasite that causes Chagasโ€™ diseaseโ€ฆ Itโ€™s here, in the United States, spreading silently in wildlife.โ€

Wealthy people donโ€™t need Medicare or Medicaid to get all the healthcare they want for cancer, reproductive health, etc. But when they or a loved one develops an incurable disease, with no experimental treatments in the pipeline, they may wish that NIH/mRNA research hadnโ€™t been defunded.

Researchers are investigating promising mRNA vaccines for pancreatic cancer, which currently has a five-year survival rate of just 13 percent. Theyโ€™re also studying mRNA treatments for multiple other types of cancer, autoimmune disorders and genetic diseases such as sickle cell anemia.

E.P.A. Moves to Cancel $7 Billion in Grants for Solar Energy

It's alarming to see Trumpโ€™s EPA prepping to claw back $7 billion for affordable solar. People are already struggling with high pricesโ€”it's unacceptable that the administration is trying to make working families fork over more of their hard-earned dollars to pay their utility bills.

Every reputable expert I know considers mRNA vaccine technology to be one of the most revolutionary advances in medicine in our lifetimes. Its inventors won the Nobel Prize in 2023. Shutting it down now is pointless self-harm to humanity.

What We Lost When We Lost the Greatest Generation It's no coincidence that democracy is backsliding in the US exactly eighty years after the end of World War II.

We are losing the last of the generation who understand just how evil actual fascism is, how hard it is to rid the world of authoritarian governments once theyโ€™re established, and how hard it is to build a successful alternative. www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/what-we-lo...

If ACA premium tax credits expire, it would be a disaster for working families who are already being squeezed by high prices.

Health coverage costs would skyrocket for 20 million Americans, and millions more would lose coverage altogether. We must act before it's too late.

Key decisions that will shape rural health fund Questions have already arisen about how the funds will be allocated โ€” and how much they'll help rural providers.

Questions remain over what factors CMS will prioritize in state applications and how much it will actually benefit rural providers, Axios Pro's Victoria Knight has reported.

Video New book uses oral history to tell story of the atomic bomb ABC News' chief global affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz speaks with author Garrett Graff about his new book on the atomic bomb during WWII ahead of the eventโ€™s 80th anniversary.

This week marks the 80th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasakiโ€”events so terrible that the central principle of geopolitics ever since has been to avoid using such weapons again. Important visit this morning to St. Joe's Hospital in Nashua with @repchrispappas.bsky.social.

Let's be clear: President Trump's "trade deals" are not a win for America.

Tariffsโ€”taxes paid for by Americansโ€”remain higher than they were at the start of this senseless trade war, and it will cost working families more than $2,000 a year as a result.

Federal food assistance program may slow cognitive decline, study suggests New research links receiving food assistance through SNAP to better brain health. Earlier this month, Trump enacted major cuts to the program.

Food insecurity โ€œcan lead to poor nutrition and chronic disease, and all of that can negatively impact the brain. So by improving access to nutrient-rich foods, SNAP may support brain health, reduce the stress and promote better health overall.โ€

It is disappointing to see Google and others pushing zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) for age verification. As EFF points out, ZKPs aren't enough to protect our privacy, and without a federal privacy law, they're just more fuel for data brokers.
