I had a dream that I lost weight, was an amazing cook, and became friends with Christoph Waltz. My only consolation upon waking is that my husband looks like a young Christoph Waltz 😂

This is why I remind people that 90% uptake is still very high (just not, epidemiologically, high *enough*).

Because we need to remember the vast majority of parents comply *when vaccination is made accessible and health professionals have the time to work with parents who might have concerns*.

Anecdotal but both my parents cooked, yet they didn't teach my brother or I how to cook 🤦🏻‍♀️ But we both learned on our own and ended up OK!

I took about 3 years in school a long time ago and then just Duolingo. I'm going to order some grammar books and I know I should also do more listening and speaking.

Been in Germany about 2 weeks now with my in-laws, then finally heading back to DC soon. It's been very good for my German. I know my grammar isn't great, but it's awesome to be able to have conversations on a variety of topics (and being German, they don't shy away from any topic 😅).

Our baby is 1 month old now. Today we gave her a washcloth bath, and she was looking so cute and happy. Then she projectile vomited her entire bottle over herself and my husband. Second bath needed 😅

We're in Przemyśl now... After 2.5 weeks of near night air raids, it feels surreal. I still can't imagine how people living in Ukraine are getting by daily under this terror.

And we were on the train to Poland last night. I couldn't sleep.

Thanks for words of support. It is the worst! She seems so miserable! Keeping her upright helps and she enjoys being in a baby carrier, so I might just start doing that in the mornings.

Also, we got baby's emergency passport (no longer stateless!) and we'll take the train to Poland tonight.

Husband has been up late working most nights so he takes the first shift and I take the second. I haven't been sleeping well due to air raids then doom scrolling. Put my phone on airplane mode and away from me last night. Now I just have to deal with the gassy morning baby 😅

I got over 8 hours of sleep last night. First time since baby was born. My husband is a saint 🙏🏻 (and also thankfully no air raid alerts last night)
