Arrived back in DC on Monday night. House is in a reasonable state after unpacking and setting up baby gear. Now to get to the 60 boxes in the basement that we shipped from Bangkok π±π±π±
02.08.2025 17:53 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Spending more time than I expected figuring out how to use complicated (or over-complicated) baby things. The Hatch is very useful but why is it an app with a subscription π«

I had a dream that I lost weight, was an amazing cook, and became friends with Christoph Waltz. My only consolation upon waking is that my husband looks like a young Christoph Waltz π

Because we need to remember the vast majority of parents comply *when vaccination is made accessible and health professionals have the time to work with parents who might have concerns*.
That's adorable!
26.07.2025 12:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That's awesome! I wish my parents had taken more initiative. My mom taught me to bake cookies, at least πͺ
Also, I find foodie kids very adorable!
Anecdotal but both my parents cooked, yet they didn't teach my brother or I how to cook π€¦π»ββοΈ But we both learned on our own and ended up OK!
I was the only one who had washing dishes as one of my chores, though.
Heard from a colleague spending a few months in the Netherlands.
"Went on a 35-mile bike ride today, entirely on bike paths, through all kinds of landscapes. Turns out I love biking, I'm just scared of biking with cars."

I know my grammar isn't great, but it's awesome to be able to have conversations on a variety of topics (and being German, they don't shy away from any topic π ).
