The market seems to have lost conviction that OpenAI will be a solid customer.

Joe Strummer solo show years later at β€œClubland” on Woodward sounded a lot better. Only other show I ever saw at the Silverdome was U2 set up for half of the stadium, with a giant curtain in the middle.

Saw them at the cavernous Pontiac Silverdome a year later, early fall of β€˜82. On a school night with early marching band practice the next morning. The Clash opened and were probably at their peak US popularity then, or about to be, with Combat Rock.

Woke up imagining how great it’d have been if offensive pass interference hadn’t been called on Amon Ra on the final play yesterday. Lions forever, baby. In a haunting way.

Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel, Disney Animated or Pixar.

You will have to pay a premium for a monitor. Prices for TVs are subsidized by advertising and selling your data. As are Roku devices. Even with a TLC Roku TV, we never use the Roku software built in, but an older AppleTV (with Siri disabled). None of this is great.

Yes, but if there’s a less invasive streaming device with better privacy controls, I’m unaware of it.

For years I thought this was a fake soundtrack for a movie that didn’t exist. But no, it does, and it’s hilariously bad.

Young girl at the beach today, said to another in the water: β€œBe careful. I can’t save you, but I’ll dance on your grave. Not like that, not happy.”

Kinda in awe of kids these days.

Have a nice little weekend planned. Went out during lunch and bought some frozen pizzas. Stopped by the library and checked out a copy of Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrel. And splurged on a few new LPs from the local record store. John Coltrane’s Giant Steps from Rhino Reserve and the latest Big Thief.

YouTube video by Live Aid Live Aid - 40th Anniversary (PART 1)

Been watching the 40th anniversary of Live Aid on youtube. No day drinking this time, as during the original broadcast on MTV though. Even sober, Phil Collins looking into the camera while sitting at a piano when the drums should come in during In The Air Tonight was pretty funny.
