Oh fun, apparently at some point I blew a blood vessel in my right eye.

Ugh, is there nothing else they could switch you to? Or is the next step stuff thats not good for longterm/daily use.

Also lmfao I read that as lycra at first and was trying to figure out how they were prescribing you a fabric

I guess its better than over the counter stuff or like, gabapentin, but jfc that seems pretty weak for what you sound like you need to be functional

Speaking of meds, I got sent home with 15 oxycodone tablets and instructions for Tylenol and ibuprofen dosages.

In other news, a tragedy occurred during my hospital stay - having my jewelry out overnight was enough for the nip piercings to close up 😭

It was mildly hilarious that the ob asked about if I have or want kids since the best plan was going to take the whole ovary and even 5 doses deep of painkillers I just went "absolutely not you get that lil fucker out of there" 😂

The dr took photos tho and oh man are they -gnarly- looking. One has both ovaries in view so you can see just how big the right one is, and the fallopian tube was this horrible angry dark purple.

I am, and thankfully pain wise I just feel sore across my stomach (kinda like when I had bronchitis) instead of the 9/10 pain that managed to persist thru 2 doses of fentanyl and 3 of dilaudid.

For the record I am on the other side of surgery now and doing fine (and incredibly full of pain meds, I imagine) but I am now short one ovary and its fallopian tube because the lil fucker had twisted.

Jfc surgery was not how I expected my Monday to go, but when an ovary ends up measuring 9 fucking centimeters it's kinda got to go, huh.
