My proposal: make 7th Ave one-way with all traffic flowing to 20th St. Removal of the opposite direction would make room for a bus lane, allowing buses to skip Qboro bound traffic, as they could snake into their bus-only turn lane, or left turn onto 6th Ave

The bus itself is pretty much standing room only at 1:45 PM on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Good catch! I hope so! I emailed the city to ask about this stop while I was waiting :)

13 people got on the bus when it showed up after I took this picture, and about the same number got off the bus. Likely 25 people served from one bus arrival alone.

Transit riders wait in the rain for the #106 bus at the busiest bus stop in the city (700+ bardings per day) after it was relocated with no shelter installed. I hope there is one in the plans. For now, riders are lucky to have a nearby building to wait under.

With municipal elections coming up in October, it's exciting to see candidates in the region are campaigning to win the support of transit riders. There's over 1 million of us, a third of Metro Vancouverites use transit at least once weekly.

There is a way to make Vancouver buses up to 18% faster that no one is talking about.
It does not require digging tunnels.

The solution is hidden in plain sight at our intersections.
