The video in this post was taken one block west of your screenshot. All the buses were approaching from the west to get to the station.

Council finished hearing from speakers at about 12:30 AM, but postponed the actual vote until February 26

22nd Street Stn area needs help so bad 😭

My proposal: make 7th Ave one-way with all traffic flowing to 20th St. Removal of the opposite direction would make room for a bus lane, allowing buses to skip Qboro bound traffic, as they could snake into their bus-only turn lane, or left turn onto 6th Ave

UPDATE: after four hours of hearing from the public last night, it got past midnight, and council decided to delay their vote until the end of February.

because when you’ve been waiting 19 years to build a school, what’s another two weeks?

It's currently 11:30 PM on a Thursday night and there are people in Vancouver City Hall trying to NIMBY a highschool that's like 15 years overdue

I learned after that their was a crash on the Queensborough bridge, so I'm guessing a bus didn't show up. But there are frequently long lines, just not that long, for the 100 bus and 340

Transit: While CARGA committed to expanding frequent, reliable, and affordable transit on key corridors, including Vancouver Island and the Sea-to-Sky route, the BC NDP has delivered no concrete action that would put a single new bus on the road in 2026.

Alt text: people wait for a bus under the shelter of a nearby building on a very rainy day because the bus stop has no shelter.

13 people got on the bus when it showed up after I took this picture, and about the same number got off the bus. Likely 25 people served from one bus arrival alone.

Transit riders wait in the rain for the #106 bus at the busiest bus stop in the city (700+ bardings per day) after it was relocated with no shelter installed. I hope there is one in the plans. For now, riders are lucky to have a nearby building to wait under.

Statement: $5 Billion in Transit Cuts a Huge Step Backwards - Environmental Defence Statement from Sam Hersh, Clean Transportation Program Manager Ottawa | Traditional, unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg People – Cutting $5

A liberal government with the former TransLink Mayors' Council chair at the helm of infrastructure dollars proceeds to cut long-awaited and long-promised public transit capital investment.

What a boneheaded move for a government trying to address cost of living and economic productivity.

With municipal elections coming up in October, it's exciting to see candidates in the region are campaigning to win the support of transit riders. There's over 1 million of us, a third of Metro Vancouverites use transit at least once weekly.

There is a way to make Vancouver buses up to 18% faster that no one is talking about.
It does not require digging tunnels.

The solution is hidden in plain sight at our intersections.
