Well, it's not something you can force on people. Agree it's disappointing they all just drive and can't be bothered not driving even one week a year. You'd think they'd want to try the fruits of their labor.

It's for the people who make policies and implement our transit and transportation networks but never experience any of it outside of a car. From municipalities all the way up to federal level. Politicians and staff.

Why do you agree that the burden of supporting affordable housing and public amenities should be put on new homes?
Better delete community benefit charges and increase property taxes for all.

I'm the first to complain about the lack of amenities, or lack of maintenance of existing amenities, but forcing people struggling to buy a home to pay for it is wrong. It's a community benefit, make the community pay.

We're in a cost of housing emergency, not in a community benefits emergency. Your number one focus should be doing everything you can to lower cost of housing.

Why are you set on making new residents pay for community benefits that are for all? That's a regressive tax that increases the cost of housing.
Do you know what would be better than one time community benefit payment? More homes paying property taxes for ever!

How do you move 1000 people? One link train with four cars, 15 buses, or 625 cars requiring over 5 acres of parking at both start and destination.

What does it take to move 1000 people? Better infrastructure supporting mobility choices that don’t take up so much space (or produce so much emissions/pollution, cost so much public money, etc).
