I am amazed at how such tiny cliques of weirdos seem to be able to have such influence.

That’s very interesting. Why was McSweeney the one to do that? How did he even get to be a major player?

Not surprised but extremely disappointed to hear that.

I still cannot get my head round why McSweeney is there and why he has ever been taken seriously. Any insights would
be appreciated.

Does this claim stand for all potential
Leaders of the Labour Party? Are all its leaders in on this far right turn on immigration and asylum?

Far right activists love explaining how they are not racist and they are seeking to protect everyone from β€˜illegals’. They are often paid handsomely for their political activity. I am sure they can justify whatever they do, to whoever meekly listens, whilst laughing all the way to the bank.

Same here. Thank you for putting this into words so calmly and succinctly. I really couldn’t.

Today is not the day to argue "oh so you want Reform to win then" as an argument for Labour's indefensible and inhumane anti-asylum policies. At least be honest and own that you're defending racist policies promoted with genuinely far right talking points. Don't try and pretend this is "progressive"

Illegal migration is β€˜tearing our country apart’ and system is broken, says Shabana Mahmood – UK politics live Home secretary says it is β€˜moral mission’ for her to tackle asylum system

What's tearing the country apart is the cruel and nasty rhetoric from the indistinguishable mass that is Mahmood, Farage, Jenrick, & Tommy Ten-Names.

The LP has betrayed its long time supporters, and I for one will not forgive or forget.

It would be interesting to know which Labour MPs or donors are connected to the companies that profit from the current asylum regime. There is big money in it.

Labour are no longer a credible alternative to the far right at all. Appeasing fascism never works. Aping it, as Labour are doing, is even worse. Obediently accepting Labour’s far right turn will open the door to fascism.

The far right have been waiting for the passing of the survivors of Nazism, fascism, and the Second World War. There is plenty of writing by far right intellectuals about the need to wait for the fading of memories. Who did most of today’s far right grow up with and what stories were they told?

There is a far shorter, just one word in fact, way to say "anti-antifacist". Seems a few people might have forgotten that.

When it comes to intimidating racist protests including outside our homes or place of worship, Black and Asian people are supposed to just accept it and the government saying β€œwe hear you” and β€œit is right to protest this” and β€œI love flags me”. No thought of β€œcumulative impact” for us!

Thatcher wasn't "strong". She was a bully. Strength is fleeing a warzone, making it to the UK despite the complete absence of safe routes, and then enduring the vicious border regime imposed by the likes of Mahmood, all through the determination to build a better life for yourself and your family.

Starmer is right to say the battle with Reform is a struggle for the soul of the nation. He has chosen Reform’s side.

Starmer says past governments have been "squeamish" talking about immigration. Bullshit.

Starmer isn't bravely breaking a taboo. He's blaming vulnerable people & deflecting attention from the super rich who hoard power & wealth.

ID cards: Juicy contract for US tech and threat to civil rights.
Sizewell C: Subsidy to US tech data centres.
Carbon capture: Subsidy to oil and gas companies.
NHS family hubs: To be built using private equity PFI contracts.

Starmer thinks his job is funnelling UK taxpayer cash to his mates.

Starmer’s Labour party are just after wealthy sponsors. The ID cards will be a means of funneling public money to their donors. They are way past caring about mere voters.

The myth of uncontrolled immigration to the UK is a racist far right lie. It is the political strategy of bad faith actors.

You know what, it does get more than a tadge tedious when on a daily basis you have to defend yours, and others within the communities you are part of, right to exist, on multiple fronts, from people across the whole damn political spectrum.
