Yes, I would want to see an annual service record with clear quantifications on how battery had been treated (easy to monitor and record, surely) and Battery tests that gave estimated capacity.

My fear over making the step to full EV (2nd hand) is that I won’t know how the 1st owner has managed their battery. The advice is strong that you have to run it mostly between 20% & 80%, and not fast-charge too often.
But a company car driver may not give a shit about that & I can’t check it afaik.

The Times has got some basic legal points wrong. There's no requirement for visa waived visitors (such as UK citizens) to have travel medical insurance. Nor is there a requirement to have a return ticket, just the means to buy one (or being in a position to acquire such means lawfully).
