Every reputable expert I know considers mRNA vaccine technology to be one of the most revolutionary advances in medicine in our lifetimes. Its inventors won the Nobel Prize in 2023. Shutting it down now is pointless self-harm to humanity.

A watercolor painting of a squirrel holding an acorn in its mouth, perched on a branch. The artwork is on a sketchbook page with a vibrant watercolor palette and a Pentel water brush in the background.&10;
This squirrel started as a sketch at a demo I gave at Gwartzmanβs last weekend. I added some color using QoR watercolors and a Pentel water brush in my Etchr A5 hot press sketchbook. Fun fact: squirrels bury thousands of nuts every season and use memory to find them later! πΏοΈ #sciart

A watercolor painting of a dormouse perched on a branch, surrounded by a watercolor palette, two water brushes, and glasses on an Etchr hot-pressed watercolor paper block.
Hereβs my first full-sized piece (9βx12β) on Etchrβs new hot pressed watercolor blockβa dormouse in all its delicate detail! πβ¨ The paperβs slightly textured surface is perfect for balancing detail and smooth washes, and the 350 gsm weight is a dream to work on. #sciart

A watercolor sketch of a vibrant green and blue insect, possibly a beetle, climbing a piece of wood, drawn on an open notebook. Nearby are a watercolor palette with various colors, a Pentel Aquash water brush, and a Pentel Graphgear 1000 mechanical pencil.
Back to sketching bugs at Equator Coffee in Almonte with my new Golden QoR watercolors and a Pentel Aquash water brush! Loving how the colors pop. Did you know some beetles can lift over 1,000 times their weight? π

A detailed graphite drawing of a loon with wings outstretched, created using a .5 mm Graphgear 1000 pencil. The drawing is displayed in an open sketchbook with the pencil placed beside it.
Finished this graphite loon sketch during lunch. Used a Pentel Canada .5 mm Graphgear 1000 with 4B lead, BluTack, and a blender. Paddled beside one last weekβsuch a haunting call and mystical bird. Did you know loons can dive up to 200 feet underwater? π¦ #sciart

A watercolor painting of an eastern bluebird perched on a weathered birch stump, created with vibrant colors and fine details. A palette of QoR watercolors and a Pentel Aquash water brush are visible next to the artwork.&10;
This eastern bluebird pushed my skills with its detailed feathers and textured birch perch! Painted with QoR watercolors and a Pentel Aquash brush, itβs all about the layers and a larger palette of about seven colours for this one. Thanks to Jan Allinder for the inspiring photo reference!

A watercolor painting of a great spotted woodpecker perched on a tree trunk, created in a sketchbook. Nearby are watercolor pans, a Pentel Aquash water brush, and an array of pens in a green fabric case.
Just finished this great spotted woodpecker in watercolor! Loved using brighter colors, and rendering weathered birch bark was tricky. Painted in my Etchr A6 sketchbook with QoR colors and a Pentel Aquash brush. Fun fact: woodpeckers can peck 20 times a second without harm! #bird #sciart

Watercolor illustration of a detailed box beetle on a white sketchbook page, accompanied by a painter's palette with a variety of colors, a water brush pen, and a pencil.
Diving into the entomological world with my latest piece: an ox beetle in watercolor. These tiny titans duel with their horns, echoing ancient battles. In this piece, strength and delicacy collide, capturing the beetleβs essence on paper with QoR Watercolors and a steady hand. ποΈπβ¨#sciart
