I thought he was gonna be decent

Steve's dope. He's an ally, he looks out for his friends, and he tries to do his best every day. We could all learn a lot from Steve.

But yeah, you see the signs in little things. Like gaming culture. If you aren't first, you're last. If you aren't completely dominating, you're weak. Our relationship with failure is *not* a healthy one.

Our schools' grading scales emphasize competition over results. We throne the top winner and anyone who isn't the best sucks.

Just for the record, this is the kind of shit that *destroys* rural areas. Oftentimes plants like these draw in people all in the surrounding area in smaller towns. It's a *seriously disruptive* event to that community.
