Huh? I must have missed the part where I complained more about E-bikes than cars. We were discussing bikes, so I mentioned the issues with high speed E-bikes...

The yo-hos who've invested in those illegal bikes here seem to have missed that memo.

Sure. That doesn't mean people should be riding Class 3's weaving between lanes, ignoring stop signs & red lights, and pulling onto the sidewalk when it's convenient.

As a cyclist myself it always seems the people buying Class 3's are the worst of us who couldn't follow the law on unpowered bikes.

It's even better to do it safely.

The people I see on them need to figure out what they're riding.

You want to drive at 50km/h like a car? Cool. License them. Take up the space a car would. No riding on the shoulder, weaving between cars, and stay-off sidewalks.

Now there's no problem.

I'm in Toronto and fairly regularly see E-bikes keeping up with - or passing - cars doing 40 to 50km/h.
