Insearching & outsearching (a heartache for example) I love the superpowers of making a little shelf for your heart, so much tenderness, so much care, so much adoration, look at this altar space, look at this niche in the adobe cavern of my being… Some...

wrote about INSEARCHING (my friend’s word for internal research) and getting hit by a Despairiversary and the heartache recovery process more generally, so fun

but also about being an enthusiastic dream-stealer! aka having fun with shadow work because why not

Within a few years, AI Jesusbot will advance to where He is orders of magnitude more divine than our actual God in heaven. This is the Christularity.

Honoring Alice Wong's life and legacy with gratitude, in solidarity and sorrow, this morning. I was a fan; thinking of all who loved and knew her personally.

Alice's words speak to us still. As a chronically ill person, I will keep listening. What a beautiful, bold, *brilliant* life well lived.

It's frustrating to see people say Jesus was a Jew without specifying what sort of Jew, so I can know whether to serve rice or not if he shows up for Pesach

The good news is, somebody IS watching the watchmen. The bad news is, they are spectacularly incompetent.

Bodily autonomy is the ultimate principle here and if we’re gonna make it stick we need to do away with the deep-seated notion that certain kinds of bodies are bad and undesirable to the point of being other people’s personal business and indeed a social problem

Whenever language around what people deserve and what they don't deserve in the US comes around I am reminded at how much this is a game to people, how they can't fathom real lives

Not just politicians, but literally our neighbors. The cruelty people will put onto others without a second thought

Wealthy white Americans create food deserts in poor communities where no one can access a grocery store. Create a country where only the wealthy can afford fresh vegetables. And then create “health” trends where anyone that doesn’t eat “clean” is judged as a lesser human.

Zohran Mamdani polled +40% on men under 30. So we wasted all that time on all those think pieces about how we need a Joe Rogan for the left, when what we actually needed were *policies* for the left.

Hey man, I get it. You have to make choices for the new family you're starting. I've been doing some thinking too, and I talked to mom and dad and sis and I don't think it's a good idea for you to come around our family either. We don't have a lot of values worth losing someone over but unconditional love is one of them. I hope the family you're starting never does anything to lose your love like I did but keep my number in case they ever do. Let them know we'll still love them anyways.

I had a friend disinvited from his sibling's wedding because he was gay and it didn't align with their values. Heartbreaking but his response was beautiful. Reproduced below.

I like that in Yiddish, to conjugate a verb or decline an adjective is literally to BEND (beygn; בײגן) that word, which opens up an a great avenue for avatar fanfiction about a group of airbenders befriending a lost tribe of wordbenders

Scientific American changed its headline from “risk of autism” to “likelihood of having autism.”

Thanks for the slightly less stigmatizing language. That’s cool. But…The problem is the very idea that we should avoid, prevent, &/ fear autism. The article isn’t fixable, because it shouldn’t be news.

as someone who was on SNAP four times let me tell you it would be *phenomenally hard* to exploit, they put *a lot of effort* into giving you *as little as possible* and are horrendously understaffed

if someone has managed to abuse the system they are Danny Ocean and you should respect the hustle

republicans hate you and want you to suffer and die in service of resegregation but a lot of democrats are somewhat understandably nervous about running on it because some dipshit fact-checker goes "alterity is the inherent unknowability of the other's true self, 18 million pinocchios"

My uncle Jeff: not my uncle at all, I think I only realized that as an adult?
