Yeah, I think the idea had been this would all culminate in a TV movie, but that seems like it has been spun into Ashoka season 2.

My son has been watching season 1, and that episode with the village and AT-ST is so good. Wish it had stayed at that scale.

It's weird that the big galaxy changing plot started on the show is happening on another show, and this just seems like... some random adventures?

There was a bit in the Kenobi show that was much mocked where a young Leia is being chased through what looked like a national park trail and the baddies kept running into branches, and tbh it reminded way more of the OT than a lot of this stuff. Proper Caravan of Courage energy.

Denzel Washington? Have to say I thought Downey Jnr rather suited his look in Oppenheimer.

Hollywood needs less comic book movies and more movies with a fun lead who does a variety of movies which involve them driving.

Watched Predator: Badlands again tonight - it's great fun, but I really, really do not think these characters would work in a film with the Alien.

I like the Argento in a cinema with the sound blasting out but I do think I prefer this one - a shame it didn't do well as I would have liked to have seen new takes on the other two Mothers.

I did like the shutter effect when the demon is doing its thing and the punchline of them mopping up afterwards. I also really appreciated how they incorporated the dancing into the magic - retrospectively makes you baffled why the original didn't.

Is it touch and go?

I love how it has the same name but goes completely in the other direction from Argento. Where that was short, this long. Where that was bright, this is muted. Where that worked with dream logic, this explains it all.

I know Dagger of the Mind is one of the weaker Columbos, but I do love all the location shooting - London looks miserable!

I always laugh at the way Hammer awkwardly holds the hammer in his intro footage. It's either really light, and he's trying to pretend it's heavy or they were going to animate lightning until the Disney lawyers raised an eyebrow.

Stuff like that makes it all so much fun to watch. Need more of that type of hubris!

The way the commentators were going on about how good he was and how all the other contenders were just second tier convinced me it was going to go south for him.

Always brave for commentators just assuming someone was getting gold and writing off all the other contenders.

Post credits scene where that one guy from the Council gets all the food he listed that he was missing after the bombs fell.

They were making sure we knew these actors were playing these characters because the multiverse nonsense had messed everything up.

The sort of niche joke that should always be applauded.
