My son has really nailed his impression of a Despicable Me Minion and I have to say that is just brilliant. I am delighted.

The new Lily Allen album is absolutely magnificent. It’s impossible to exaggerate her influence over so many modern artistes and ‘West End Girl’ shows why. But my goodness it’s brutal. Tunes like nursery rhymes, lyrics like razor blades.

Spend all weekend emotionally preparing yourself for the high levels of stress you know you're going back to at work but here I am, Monday morning, not emotionally prepared.

Watching the first ep of #ThePaper as a huge fan of #TheOffice. Tim Key is obviously instantly hilarious. The new characters I think are going to need time. Domnhall Gleeson, is he playing straight? There seemed to be a switch mid-ep. I'm interested.

Sending angry voice notes to my husband about the new Wuthering Heights trailer because literally no one in my life cares about it and he's legally obliged to listen and care 😂

Was really cool to experience a little of the IOW Scooter Rally this afternoon. Husband is a retired Vespa rider and I could tell he was feeling the loss of his dearly departed even fifteen years after giving her up.

Back home after a utterly beautiful five days away on the Isle of Wight. Our first family experience of camping (glamping!) and my very first time and consider me a full convert.

It's been so nice to get away from the telly and the other family distractions and focus on being together:)

I'm in the middle of setting up a new department at work which obviously means a lot of recruitment.

My out of office goes on for two weeks from tomorrow and I am so very ready to get a break from email after email about jobs.

I hate recruitment.

We live in a town that's cut off by a level crossing and the biggest port in the country so we spend a lot of time at gates watching freight trains.

My 7yo has started calling them tariff trains. Presumably because he's seen so much talk about Trump along with pictures of containers...

He's actually light entertainment mad. We watch everything Bradley Walsh does. Including Blankety Blank. No show has made me want to gouge my eyes out and squish them more than that one.

In a lot of ways, my 7yo is very cool. He listens to Earth, Wind and Fire daily and has the talky bits of Parklife memorised.

But he's also obsessed with Michael McIntyre and I cannot tell you how over his 'Big Show' I am.

This only adds one job to the report, dummy. Won’t even move the needle!

The start of Summer holidays coincided with my husband's 36 hour working weekend and now it's Sunday and I'm shutting down from having to deal with a high on life seven year old asking me questions every 10 seconds. 🫠

She just seems to attack her all the time and Miranda feels like she has to keep apologising. I've been there with friends and it's the most awful space to exist in. I hope it's addressed if this is what they're doing.

With the high number of one child families these days, it's really disheartening trying to book tickets to a holiday event and seeing the family ticket option covers two adults and two children. It's always the same. I don't have another child. We are also a family that would like a deal.

I really don't think there is a more joyous moment on film than watching Rocky run up the steps in Rocky and Rocky II. It's so beautifully pure.

I've gone from hate watching And Just Like That... to just enjoying it. It's not breaking any moulds but it's enjoyable.

The thing is I think they are always going to be loss making. But for some isolated communities cut off by roads or tracks it's a necessity. Even a loss making one. Residents should always have an option to leave.

We need to stop thinking of everything with profit in mind.

Local campaigners need to be firmer with Councils and demand to know where the money is going.

We did this with Thurrock Council when they stripped isolated communities of their only public transport option and we got it back because they didn't have an answer.
