Credit unions have statutory authority to make 40 year loans.

Warner is in cycle. I’m legit shocked they didn’t cave before this. They are reluctant shutdown voters given their constituents.

Fifty year loans can’t be Qualified Mortgages so they will need additional risk retention and can’t be sold to the GSEs. Banks may not love them so much. Credit unions have statutory authority to write 40 year paper already but I don’t think they do.

50 year mortgages aren’t eligible to be Qualified Mortgages and would trigger risk retention. And the GSEs can’t buy them. Credit unions already have authority to make 40 year mortgages and I don’t think they do.

Dolton IL Mayor Tiffany Henyard billed city $7,650 for her beauty team Tiffany Henyard, 40, who represents the Chicago suburb of Dolton, has been accused by a former employee of wasting taxpayer money between April 6 and June 5, 2023.
