I’ve voted blue in every election, from local to federal, since 2016, and my voice has now been gerrymandered out of existence. I feel useless, endangered, and delaying the inevitable of being sent to a concentration camp. This is a nightmare and I’m gnawing my leg off to get out of the bear trap.

I’m scared enough to consider launching a fundraiser for an emergency flee fund, but that feels selfish and immoral somehow, even if it’s for my safety… is it even worth it? Are gofundmes and kofis a viable option at all? I want to live to see 30.

If I stay in Texas, it’s going to kill me. I’m a trans person on HRT, I’m autistic, I’m still coping with a fresh CPTSD diagnosis, I’m studying Spanish and civil rights, I’m saving up for top surgery, and I cope with living in this hellscape with legal THC. I’m going to die if I stay here.

If you think the new Superman movie is "lecturing" you on how to be a kind soul, than that says a lot about you as a person.
