I think we’re underestimating the possibility the ballroom never gets built and there’s just a big pile of rubble for four years.

I miss the way the beginning of summer vacation used to feel, & how happy *things* like a new doll or Playmobil set or something could make me, but there are still things that give you that feeling in adulthood.

The world continues to be full of possibilities!

The good bits were the relatives who hadn't died yet & the books & film & music you got to experience for the first time & people not giving you a hard time for making art, not the actual being twelve part.

Not to be arrogant or anything but I think I held on to stuff like imagination & curiosity & an appreciation for silly jokes AND I can drive & have my own money & never have to play team sports with people who hate me.

Just not having as many night terrors- worth the janky ankles!

If someone promised world peace & an end to infant mortality I suppose I'd go through middle school again. For the greater good.

(I feel like the "everybody wants to be twelve again" crowd are living in a different world from the one where I live.)

I happened to be out at the same time the kids were going home from high school & I am not sure if there's anything you could offer me personally to bribe me to be a teenager again. If you could effect cures for terrible diseases or a fix for climate change I'd take one for the team but not enjoy it

I got a couple of nice rings from Novica, who promise that they're a marketplace for artisans; they're both lovely but the leopard is a size 7 & the blossom is a size 9 & they're both pretty much the same size!

(I have been thinking a lot about leopards in general, not just the face-eating ones.)

I would like to get an aquamarine pendant while simultaneously brightening up someone's day by paying them for their clever handiwork; probably what I should do is wait until Holiday Craft Markets get going & buy one from someone who smells like patchouli.

My mind just sped through the Discourse this site would have about Etsy's decline (Etsy used to be for handmade stuff by talented people & it's been swamped by drop-shippers selling crap; that's good bc it means the talented people got proper jobs; Millennials were the last to care about The Craft)
