Three Ways Terminal AI Has Changed How I Work (And Whether It's Coming for My Job) How terminal AI compresses setup, robustness checks, and iteration without replacing judgment, and whether Olivia Rodrigo caused the inflation wave.

Here is a nice writeup by an economic commentator on how he uses this sort of tool

ICE is bad. Deportation is bad. Immigration restriction is almost always bad. Armed masked men going into homes without warrants is so obviously villainous that the fact anyone approves it is a stain that will haunt even generous histories of our nation ever after.

I am anti-ICE.

The whole concept of successfully manufacturing machines with interchangeable parts is only about 150 years old (initially mostly guns; early Singer sewing machines needed custom-fitting of parts) so it kinda took a while for standardized parts between different machines to become a thing

Of course the rest of one's income after 30% for housing or whatever is still much higher and affords a great deal more savings and/or luxury consumption, although luxuries are normalized enough in some circles not to register as such

The ridiculous thing is that top 5% income/wealth generally buys you the same sort of house that costs maybe $500k in Milwaukee just for 3x-10x as much in NYC/SF/LA/Seattle
