I've got this habit in my writing lately of starting each vid by talking about a random contradiction within our society that relates to the point I'm making, and I have had *such* a hard time settling on one for the next vid. "We made a new law where ICE has to stop breaking the law" takes the cake

One of the most frustrating filmmaking thorns in my side is color calibration on my screen. I'll spend hours tweaking the color correction in the video, and making my screen accurate, just to know that everyone watching the vid will have their phones or TVs doing whatever tf they want to my colors

But that was using protontricks, and I really had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I get the impression stuff like that is less of an issue with bottles (but again, I only half understand anything I'm even saying here lol)

So with the dependencies thing, is that something I'm gonna have to worry about much using bottles for windows apps? The reason I added it to the list was because of a nightmare experience I had with visual c++ dependencies for modding an unreal game on my Steamdeck,

Ugh y'all have literally been so helpful. I think I have the intuition skills to *figure out* what everything means, and how the pieces generally fit together, but in terms of actual, tangible software, I've got basically nothing to go on without y'all's help ♥️

I'd *really* like to avoid using any third party cloud services. Ideally, the entire thing would *just* be run from my computer. Basically Jellyfin, but with read/write perms on *all* connected devices, and linked to a nice, comprehensive android app for text doc creation and note taking

After I finish this next video, I'm going to be going all in on Linux, and de-googling my life. Anyone have any good software suggestions? What I'm really looking for is a way to automatically sync notes, photos, and text documents between my phone and PC whenever they're on the same network.
