Trump holds all the cards in New Yorkโs mayoral contest
The leading candidatesโ flaws will be easy pickings for the president to leverage.
This is a cute, savvy-seeming headline, confirmed by 3 Republican sources, and no-one else. It's also a woefully inadequate way to map the legal, fiscal, and messaging terrain that Trump and the next mayor will battle over.

Wikipedia Says AI Is Causing a Dangerous Decline in Human Visitors
โWith fewer visits to Wikipedia, fewer volunteers may grow and enrich the content, and fewer individual donors may support this work.โ
wikipedia's data shows that AI is siphoning traffic away from the site, which is a danger to its sustainability. ironically Wikipedia is more important than ever to users who want reliable information instead of slop, and to AI companies that need it for training data www.404media.co/wikipedia-sa...

Lastly, from a business pov: this is such a dogshit deal. Spending $150 million for a publication that has fewer than 200k paid subs subscribers, no advertising, and revenue about $10 mill a year. This is not a money making business but instead an outrage making business.
And now itโs CBS.

THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN
was built for moments like this.
When facts are questioned, when trust falters, when division deepens,
Look to the voices strengthening democracy through dialogue.
Look to the leaders expanding the boundaries of knowledge.
Look to the experts turning climate risk into climate resilience.
Look to the practitioners delivering healthcare grounded in science and dignity.
Look to the innovators advancing technology with a public purpose.
When the role of higher education is on trial.
Look to the students, faculty, researchers, and alumni transforming a public investment into the public good.
This is the university for the solutions the world needs most.
Because wherever we go, progress follows. Wherever there's a Wolverine, there's a way forward.
For answers.
For action.
For all of us.

At my local pharmacy staff were literally making changes on the fly as I stood there. One person who was under 65 but not young, and whose pre-existing conditions weren't on the list was being sent home until someone yelled from the back "No, we can give it to him. The rules have changed".

What to Know About Getting a COVID Vaccine in New York This Fall
The confusion around guidelines is making things tough for pharmacists and patients alike.
Kathy Hochul's executive order should make it easy for everyone in New York to get a COVID vaccine without a prescription, and without citing an underlying condition. The reality in local pharmacies is very different. @lauren-hartley.bsky.social has this guide to navigating the uncertainty.
