25.10.2025 23:19 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0An embarrassingly obvious point, but...
This. Is. Illegal.
If anything like the rule of law were in force, Trump couldn't arbitrarily increase a tariff because he is annoyed.
In important and increasing ways, the rule of law in the US no longer exists.

This is far from the most important issue here, but the Ontario govt was under no obligation to "seek...permission to use and edit" any recording of Ronald Reagan that is in the U.S. National Archives/Reagan Library, as is the case here. And the Reagan Foundation has *no* relevant role here.

The Office of Management and Budget sent a notification to Congress about their intent to use research and development funds to pay members of the military, two sources with direct knowledge tell NBC News. A spokesperson for the OMB confirmed to NBC News that it plans to use the research and development funds and that there are two years' worth of funds available within the Department of Defense.
Unconstitutionally taking money that the law says must be spent on one purpose & using it for something elseβwhen it's to establish personalist control over the FUCKING MILITARYβis about as dangerous a constitutional crisis/failure as you can imagine

Nothing remotely resembling an insurrection is happening anywhere in the country. Any violence associated with protest has been isolated, mild, and, in nearly every case, instigated by federal law enforcement. If we let Trump get away with calling dissent an insurrection, our republic is over.
