The annual exhibition and fundraiser from the Minneapolis Parks Foundation and LoveMplsParks features over 40 local artists, with all sales split 50/50 between participating artists and Minneapolis parks! 🤝

Today’s the day — the 10th annual Posters for Parks show kicks off this afternoon at Minnehaha Falls Park!

“Night/Owl” is my fifth (!) Posters for Parks print and I’m as excited as ever to see my work hanging alongside so many incredible designs.

Each year I challenge myself to try a slightly different approach, with this year’s poster representing my first attempt at using dark colored paper stock with bright opaque inks — I’m especially excited by the way the illustration’s edges get vignetted by the dark blue paper!

About a year ago I was approached by Scholastic to pitch sketch ideas for the reprinting of Animorphs. After cryingscreamingbarfing I said YES OF COURSE. I am so grateful to have been chosen and for the enthusiasm everyone has expressed so far. David Mattingly left me some very big shoes to fill!
