I regularly get snide with my kids when they start talking about hot cartoon characters, and every single time they shut me right the fuck down with three words: Foxy. Robin. Hood.

Trying to re-create my gloriously chaotic jumble of politics, covid-related intelligence, GenX mom shit, astrology, folklore, (ahem) crafts, writing, sciences and general rabble rousing here, while still keeping an eye on that other place.

Ads from the gov of Alberta are running on NS radio stations, telling us Trudeau is going to make our power bills quadruple. Look, the only ones quadrupling my power bills are my teens who leave all the lights on, and the crooks at NS power. Also, we have solar panels so, fuck off gov of Alberta.

My heart is full seeing so many people stand up and protect kids like mine from the vile, violent hatred spewed by hateful bigots and their sad puppets today. To everyone who got out to fill those spaces with love and courage (especially those who showed community care by masking up!), thank you.
