So two points: firstly, there’s a Christian (e.g. Lutheran) theory of the state which pre-dates (and perhaps subtends) the very authoritarian form upheld by US Dominionists; it allows for the state to conduct itself violently (to wield “the sword”) given a lawful and protective mandate, but…

Others I think are prepared to see borders enforced, and for the state to use violence to do so, but (correctly) perceive ICE as lawless, and their chaotic and inflammatory deployment as an abrogation of responsibility and a misuse of power. That’s a quite different rationale for resistance

Some of those confronting ICE do not believe that government should have or use the powers it deploys in imposing border controls - for them, the supposed lawfulness of that inevitably violent prerogative is just a mechanism for excusing and perpetuating it

lawlessness in government, and misuse of its powers, were to be confronted and resisted (the famous “bandage the victim under the wheel / put a spoke in the wheel itself” distinction)

Writing on the Nazis’ Aryan Laws, Bonhoeffer took the (broadly Lutheran) position that government is there to keep the peace, and may legitimately wield the sword to that end if lawfully restrained. Christians should tend mercifully to those injured in the process. HOWEVER,
