Really enjoying the new edition of Cold City by @malcolmcraig.bsky.social and @handiworkgames.bsky.social - I’m particularly like how prior to going to press, they keep updating the PDF (not just with errata, but with refinements). Definitely a company you should support with your hard earned money.

The size and shape can change as your skin stretches etc as you grow. For a good idea, have a look at pictures of tattoos before and after weight gain/loss - it’s a close enough comparison.

My theory is that @burnafterrunning.bsky.social has the character generation super power of being a maths teacher. Surprisingly useful for RPG-based applications, that power.

Snap! I’m currently considering what I want to run, and starting the prep. Many hours go into this, but I am sure that players do appreciate it.

Huh. I don’t remember the non-US options (although I did only look through it once). Thank you for correcting me. Interesting. Still, I’m not going to rush to look at it again. I’ll leave that to your research to ‘enjoy’ it. :-)

I do wonder how much of the US-centricity was due to the paucity of info on non-US special forces available to Americans in the 80s?

The one time I got to look through it, I seem to remember it being a bit complex, and having dodgy internal art. I'd be interested to see what it was actually like in place, but modern me would be prepared to be dissapointed.

One of the folks who passed through my gaming orbit back in the early 90s had a copy of this. He practically worshipped it, but we could never get him to bring it to the table (it appealed to our teenage brains to be special forces badasses, so we wanted to play it).

I do hope it’s not an ill-thought subscription model (or a light buy with feature sub which is effectively the same). For one, that will go against their pledge and damage trust further. And also, as much as I like Affinity, it won’t win a subscription war against Adobe features.

It’s a difficult balance. I’ve recently had some fairly significant surgery as well, and I definitely felt the difference when I had a period without exercise.

Anything is better than nothing, so only do what you safely can. You’ve got this.
