The reason these particular Dems caved was bc a) they get a lot of money from airline PACs, and b) bc Dick Durbin & Jeanne Shaheen are retiring, John Fetterman & Maggie Hassan aren't up for reelection until 2028, & Tim Kaine, Jacky Rosen and Angus King aren't up until 2030.

Remember their names.

If it's anything like your plan to lose 135 billion pounds by this time next year, I'm gonna say we're not holding our breath. Not that we have been since Trump last announced he was going replace the ACA 10 years ago. His last "plan" would have cost more and caused 20M+ to lose their insurance.

No one cares more... except the Dems who voted 'no'... and the people whose healthcare costs are going to more than double... and people w pre-existing conditions... and employers who have to deal w the fallout... this is like a scene from Life of Brian.

FWIW, this deal "protects" federal workers until Jan 2026... which is three months from now. So he sold out everyone for three fucking months of no firings... at which point, Trump will likely fire them again. This, against a referendum election in which people made their desires very clear.

Tim Kaine won't be up for re-election until '30, but Mark Warner's term ends in '26. Let's send a message to Kaine by primarying Warner. It's not like Warner was an innocent bystander. Never forget this betrayal. Kaine will be looking in his rearview for the next 5 yrs.

Every day until the primaries, voters in their states should call these offices and tell them, "We'll remember this betrayal. You're going to lose your job bc of it".

Here's the list:
Dick Durbin
Angus King
Catherine Cortez Masto
Jacky Rosen
John Fetterman
Tim Kaine
Jeanne Shaheen

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

They agree to guarantee funding for SNAP through 2026 (already guaranteed; Trump just refused to release the funds), rehire dismissed fed workers (who will again be hostages) for the "promise" of a vote on healthcare. The only people worse at deal making are the Dems.

Warner (VA)

There wasn't any choice on Tuesday, but if Spanberger is pushing the Senate Dems to cave, I fully regret my choice to support her. This is about as tone deaf as it gets. This fight is about people losing their healthcare, food, the very essentials for life. If you can't protect those, you're unfit.

What to know about Dec. 2 election: Register to vote in 7th District by Nov. 3 Now that the primaries for the U.S. Congressional District 7 seat, here's what you need to know ahead of the Dec. 2 general election.

Tennessee's 7th District has a special election coming December 2. If you live there or know someone who does, urge them to vote for Democrat Aftyn Behn in order to chip away at the GOP in the House, and add 1 more vote to release the Epstein files.

Senate leader eyes potential shutdown deal but there's no guarantee of success The Senate's top Republican says a potential deal is β€œcoming together” on the government shutdown, but there's no guarantee it would end an impasse now stretching to 40 days.

Any Dem Senator who agrees to a deal on the "promise" of a later vote on ACA healthcare subsidies is unfit for office and should be primaried as soon as possible. Republican promises aren't worth the breath required to voice them. They have been and continue to be lies.

Brazil's Supreme Court panel unanimously rejects Bolsonaro's appeal, upholding 27-year sentence The justices on Brazil's Supreme Court panel have unanimously rejected former President Jair Bolsonaro’s appeal.

I never thought I'd say this given that Brazil was ruled by an oppressive military junta until 1985, but why can't we be more like Brazil?

As Tuesday's election results proved, we have the power to make things right. We just need more leaders who recognize this.
