Has anyone broken down allow the elements? It was amazing! I am sure I missed pieces and I am teaching freshmen tomorrow and want to talk about it with them. What an opportunity to show how history can be used. Thanks in advance.

It's been a year today since we lost my beautiful mom. It's still impossible to believe we are just supposed to go on without her or Dad who we lost in 2011.

I have memories of driving home to Omaha from a visit to my grandparents in Des Moines listening to games on the am radio- not much out there between the two. I love it on the radio and will definitely listen. Thanks!!

Thanks! I am an old football and soccer fan having fun getting smarter about baseball. There are so many games! I love how you can be mid-season and catch some kid's first major league game. So fun!

The sad reality is they don't care anyway and if you got through Provosts and Deans like we do none of it counts. That's said, I agree with your suggestion if only to remember all the good work you've done when they gaslight you that you don't do enough.

I've read they are laying off 16,000 in Ireland. But they spent over $40million on Melania not including millions more on promotions. Seems like mismanagement of funds to me. Sorry to the folks losing their jobs.

It is such an interesting topic that, I agree, has been neglected. I confess I have had it a full year and just haven't gotten to it. You've inspired me to move it to the top of my stack. Hope it's good!

A question for DC-area and other Bluesky history folks:
Has the interpretive marker been removed from the site of the former Confederate Memorial at Arlington National cemetery?
That's a DOD site, not NPS. But it would seem objectionably factual too, esp. given plans to restore the memorial.

All the developments of the past week underscore for me how odd it is that National Parks coverage is typically isolated within some kind of environment/climate team in the newsroom.

Turnout is going to be terrible, run off race right before another election coming up AND a winter storm during early voting? But Democrats have a chance to flip a seat with a good candidate. Please encourage friends you may have in Texas SD9 go out and vote.

I am voting for Democrat Taylor Rehmet today in the SD9 runoff race. If you live in this district, I hope you go vote too.
