Thanks. It is deeply depressing. We've done all we have been asked, have grown our grad program (terminal masters) by 40%, and get paid less than any faculty on campus, but 2 young faculty left and new Provost sees an opportunity to save a little cash. It will destroy our program. I am crushed.

We are in serious danger of losing 40% of our history faculty (thru not filling 2 lines) despite growing our grad program etc.. Any advice from those who've been thru it much appreciated.

It strikes me after 30+ years of attending #EAA #AirVenture at #Oshkosh I might have a few tricks up my sleeve I could share. Here is a good one. The Sacred Heart stand just outside the main gates near the Bus Lot. Cheap. Friendly. Plenty of places to sit.

It looks like tomorrow is going to be unusually hot for Oshkosh. The museum is a great, air-conditioned escape. They have talks in multiple theaters there in addition to great exhibits. They have a bus to get you to and from as well. That's where the blimps will be too. Have fun!!
