it’s my birthday today 🥳

i spent about 5 hours last night making this gf cake with homemade frosting, it’s not perfect or anything but i’m honestly pretty proud of how it turned out!

i can’t believe it but i got it!! i was lowkey unprepared for a 1am release on best buy but i ended up getting an etb, tech sticker, and poster collection for him 🥳

when i end up getting one ik i’ll end up putting a skin on the whole thing anyway, but the og switch with the red and blue joycons was really iconic on its own

the switch 2 gives off more steamdeck vibes than switch vibes imo

my boyfriend woke me up this morning by whispering “switch 2 trailer dropped” and i literally shot out of bed

i’m disappointed with how dull it looks visually but i can only hope they release more colorful joycons/systems after release 🥹

i got my flu, covid, AND tdap boosters yesterday

i’m v eepy and my arms are sore as hell but the pharmacist gave me a $5 coupon for getting them done at target which was pretty cool

i literally can’t find this thing online anywhere except a ridiculous $20 ebay listing and stylevana (who cancelled my order of a whole bunch of them last month because they were out of stock rip)

i’ve only found it here one other time like 6 months ago and already used up most of the tube 😭 i always lose my lip balms before i use them all so this is huge for me

i went to build a bear again yesterday and got 2 new friends 🥹💕 i bought some vintage clothes off ebay so i’m waiting for those to come in and clean before i post pics but they’re soooo cute

hi friends! sorry it’s been a bit but i have a little update: jakey has dog vertigo and has been put on medication to help 💕 he’s been recovering more and more every day and i’ve been spending a lot of time with him (and with all of li speaks’ youtube videos in the background, i love her channel sm)

the past 2 days have been v scary but he’s a lot less dizzy/lethargic and has been acting more like himself today

he hasn’t been drinking enough water tho so we’ve been having him snack on ice cubes all day, hopefully he can get an iv at the vet

jakey seems to be doing better today!! 🥹 it looks like he got a concussion from the fall and has been resting and munching on lots of chicken and rice

taking him to the vet tomorrow so he can get checked out 🩷

he’s been a part of my life longer than he hasn’t and the thought of losing him is absolutely gut wrenching :(

sorry for the downer ramble but i just love this lil guy so much 🩷

and that’s not even the half of it, he’s literally the most indestructible dog i’ve ever met

on one hand, i have hope he’ll recover like he always has, but on the other i’m aware of his age and worsening health

we adopted him exactly 13 years ago today. he’s been thru so many near-death experiences it’s actually unbelievable

he developed heart worms at 6 months old, got bit in the face by a spider and had his whole head swell up at 3, and got hit by a car 5 years ago and didn’t even break any bones
