Oh geez don't remind me. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have taped HVAC filters over my office vent, I swear.

A100, we were the two rows to the left after the console row, also later stuff on the right of the first row. The leak was under the left side though, all the big servers were there - Oracle, payroll, student servers, you know. No biggie.

When I was at ACIS there was a backed-up drain in the server room and we almost had major catastrophes as the power plugs were on the floor, not raised up. We were running back and forth while the facilites guys went yup, that's a problem - because they had metal shop-vac hoses.

That is an interesting morph of what actually happened. All I remember from when Doom happened was the beeping as servers just gave up because they couldn't get through the network and how tired Dan Lovinger was when he finally got to go home.

I think last time (after I complained about mine) I was told the best combo was a med taken day before and of that would relax the muscles of the uterus plus anesthetic day of. Would still feel like you were punched a bit in the abdomen but you wouldn't remember the sharp being ripped open pain.

Are there? Sure, they help - but even the best still means it hurts like a mofo (less if you've had a few kids I'm told). Insurance and doctors still won't prescribe or pay for real pain meds or anesthesia unless you insist and it still may be out of pocket.

Today's latest is a copy of orders for my Dad to report for six days to active duty up in Peekskill NY, along with a whole bunch of other people. It's stamped with an official seal and all, but - I'd assume the Navy has copies of this if they cared. Who else would want it?

I think one of the hardest things with going through physical stuff - my own and family's - is just the weight of not knowing if this particular item is worth keeping? Will someone be sad I threw this away? If I don't want it, who would?
