It’s super clearly established to be Pike’s kitchen and his place of comfort (just as it is on the ship), Batel is referred to as “admiral” meaning she maintained an active career, and you’re just seeing glimpses of the full life they live together not the whole thing.

What about Prodigy? Prodigy was not for actual babies.

As the crescendo of “what a travesty this is” reactions begins to grow, I will just point out that this show is for literal babies so yes it’s supposed to look very stupid to you (and to me). As does every show made for, again, actual babies. Go outside and touch grass. #StarTrek

#StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds hits a new ratings high for modern #StarTrek since Nielsen started tracking streaming for the week of “Shuttle to Kenfori” by slightly besting the prior week’s double bill. Probably lots of people spacing out those first two, but still hugely encouraging.

After three straight days of running around #SDCC, I was able to finally catch my breath and celebrate all the amazing #StarTrek news coming out of Comic-Con on the latest WeeklyTrek podcast w/ @alextperry.bsky.social. Paramount made such a mistake letting him get away, but their stupidity is the MCU’s gain. Also, Galactus is the Doomsday Machine. If you like #StarTrek but you’ve been iffy on the MCU, give FF a chance. It requires NO knowledge of ANY other movie. As a Trek and MCU fan, I am EATING.

#FantasticFour  is a #StarTrek movie and I LOVED it. The character dynamics sizzle, there’s a lot more outer space than the trailers have shown, the midcentury modern production design and most importantly the hope and optimism for a better future. Shakman did make his Star Trek, just for Marvel.

It’s less about it going only five seasons - I expected that - but that the final season is only 6 episodes.

Yeah it’s certainly not lost on me that 2027 lines everything up with what we understand is the current Secret Hideout contract end date.

This is a clear sign that there must be some very serious financial challenges at Paramount+ when #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds - a verifiably popular show according to industry data - can't make it to 50 episodes. Very disappointing, and creates a big question mark about the future of #StarTrek.

Yeah it’s trippy. And they know how to get you by entering through the turbolift!

Beyond his impressive run in the #StarTrek comics world, Peter David authored of some of the most memorable #StarTrek tie-in novels — the legendary IMZADI, the extraordinary Q-SQUARED, plus VENDETTA, Q-IN-LAW, and the entire NEW FRONTIER series.

Go see #Thunderbolts! It’s fun, funny, thoughtful, and emotional. It has something to say, and it’s either a nice sequel to Black Widow and Falcon & Winter Soldier OR an introduction to some of your new favorite MCU characters - you choose. I’m very happy with it!

#StarTrek First Contact does a great job of making you wait to see the Borg invading the Enterprise. There are 3-4 scenes on the ship about the Borg before you even see them - when Picard mounts his first counteroffensive. Ratchets the tension and has a big payoff.
