somebody didn't seem to know about pre-multiplied alpha apparently (and has white transparent pixels that bleed into the colored alpha pixels)

I'm not talking just about what's happening with ICE atm specifically, but the whole decades leading up to this moment..

One thing about the US I don't understand is that police/ICE kills a person, and then they come up with some dirt on someone, and nobody is like "that doesn't matter because law enforcement shouldn't be judge, jury and executioner"
It's like everyone is okay that they're basically judge dredd

I'm afraid that if by some miracle it's
possible for the democrats to get elected again, that they'll be "see! the system works, we don't need to fix anything"
and then just accept all the pesky broken guardrails instead of fixing the system

yeah I don't know if I'll ever set foot in the US again

yeah .. additionally, my impression of the US is that a lot of companies are fairly predatory & the government doesn't really do anything (unless forced) to protect its people

fullscreen games are often quite buggy on widescreen monitors too, or make it simply unplayable because the view is stretched too much

honestly you have to pretty financially illiterate (or desperate) to take, what is essentially a loan, at 10% or higher

a charitable interpretation could be that they're using "AI" but not LLM/transformer networks? 🤷‍♂️

as an experiment I asked an AI to refactor some code, to split a method into multiple stages ... but it then just added the stages and kept calling the old function in addition to the new methods
So I ask to replace the old method with the new methods.
It then just renamed it 😑

nice, yeah I hear good things esp now steam is getting better and better on linux
only problem is that for work i now need to use teams 🤮 and somehow i doubt that works on linux

lately my mouse movement on windows has become crazy laggy with random jumps
super annoying
linux is getting more tempting by the day
