It’s a people representation not a party representation system! If you get the votes you should be heard. An electoral threshold doesn’t adres the root issues imo.

In my view it is healthy to have anybody who has preferential votes to represent their constituents in parliament. However if you got into parliament on someone else’s coattails you should not be able split off and keep your seat because you represent no one! Only about 25% actually achieves PV
