This is an intriguing issue. I live in a middle-class Green voting neighbourhood where this is common - in fact some might say essential because the Victorian road pattern has narrow roads & no off street parking. Well that is what Irgun described itself as. As for Hamas they are faction within the Palestinian population that had ruthlessly attempted to eliminate Fatah - and as a consequence got support from Netanyahu as part of his 'divide & rule' strategy. Ironic really

The Irgun were the National Military Organization in the Land of Israel (Zionist militants they were often described as) & yes they did kill Arabs as well as Britsh - 107 including women and children in an attack on the village Dier Yassin in 1948.
