Like others crop artists I love being in the room and listen to people talk about the crop art. I also love creeping on people taking photos of my pieces and then try to take photos of them taking photos of my pieces. LOL. Very meta and very fun at the same time 2/2

I have 3 goals when it comes to crop art:

1. Get my piece(s) completed.
2. Get it checked in without dropping anything.
3. Hope desperately that it gets on the wall.

I consider a ribbon a bonus but will be very excited if I get one! 1/2

Working on my crop art piece and I didn’t like how the boundary of 2 different seeds wasn’t lining up very well. I was almost done, but decided it annoyed me so much I ripped the offending parts out and redoing it.

This is the crop art way.

Thanks! I love this meme so much I glued SO MANY tiny seeds to recreate it, much like your cross stitch project! (I did not count them though. LOL). Hopefully, your project is smaller than mine. LOL.

Notes on why there’s a difference between calling it crop art vs seed art. Both terms are certainly used interchangeably, but crop art includes both crop art AND seed art pieces, but calling it seed art does not include crop art pieces.

Me either, but at least it seems a little more attainable, while at the same time not being attainable at all.

I usually take progress photos of my crop art as I’m working on it, and tonight this little sneak thought it was a treat for her!

I had to grab it before she got her paws (and teeth) on it. She has no appreciation for art.

I was unamused.

A lot of us use Golden High Flow Acrylics as it covers seeds really well with good coverage. That’s my preferred brand, but I know people use other brands too.

Went to Blick to pick up paint for painting seeds for my crop art entry for the MSF. Of course, the color I want is OOS. Clerk mentions they’ve been going stock pretty fast lately. Me: I bet it’s crop artists.
Clerk: No, I think it’s airbrush related. Me: It’s crop artists.
