As a former IB student and a mother, I am livid they are going after IB. Don’t get me wrong, I’m livid over everything going on, but this one hits really close to home.

Also, I really miss when we used to celebrate intelligence. The anti-intellectual movement will quite literally be the death of us.

I don’t know exactly how many schools are IB but I know in my region, only one high school was an IB school when I graduated in 2005. I’m in California and I can only imagine these are harder to find in red states. Not sure where you’re based, but just a little more context.

I was an IB student briefly. This program is no joke and it is a major accomplishment for a young person to not only get into but complete the IB program. You should be beyond proud that you have not just one but two kids who are IB students, not worrying if the program will even exist for them.

I appreciate this. I only have a small apartment balcony so at most I’ll grow herbs, maybe potatoes. But I was struggling to see how it would really help w food insecurity. Finding community to trade with will help. And the skills to garden and farm are incredibly important to learn.
